First Leap social skills groups are designed for children with newly emerging social skills to those who need to work on social pragmatics and higher level social thinking. Each group will follow a structured plan with the components individualized to fit each child’s needs. 

Parallel Pandas 9-11 am

The Parallel Pandas group is designed for children with emerging functional play skills. The group goals will focus on parallel play skills, requesting from peers, responding to peers, beginning turn taking, and constructive play. 2:1 Ratio

Interactive Iguanas 10-12pm

The Interactive Iguanas group is designed for children with beginning turn taking skills. The group will focus on greetings, expected/unexpected behaviors, group instructions, and commenting skills within a group. 3:1 Ratio

Social Stingrays 11-1pm

The Social Stingrays group is designed for students who need to work on the social pragmatic aspects of language within a group setting. This group will use the Michelle Garcia Winner Think Social curriculum. 4:1 Ratio
