Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices are tools that assist in communication. Children with severe delays in language and speech may use AAC devices to assist them to express their wants, feelings, or ideas. AAC devices come in all shapes and sizes! Examples include picture symbols, communication boards, and computer devices. Our speech therapists have experience with the following devices:
