Autism Speaks’ 8k and 1k Fun Run
First Leap was proud to sponsor the 1k Fun Run and Kid Zone this year at the Autism Speaks’ 8k and 1k Fun Run! There were shoe buddies, balloon tennis, face painting, fishing for prizes, and even a bounce house for all the kids to enjoy after the 1k Fun Run! Our therapists were present to facilitate any activity for children of all abilities. Our therapists have experience helping children with communication delays, speech delays, motor coordination deficits, social skills, among many other types of pervasive developmental disorders or delays.
The Autism Speak’s 8k and 1k Fun had 400 runners join for this amazing cause. Between registrants, sponsors, and donations $100,000 was raised for this effort. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this such an amazing event.
